God's redemption plan reveals
His goodness and profound love for His creation.
It should be noted that
despite all its dismal
qualities, sin makes one contribution which is - God chose to redeem His people
from sin and its punishment of death. In God choosing to save us from sin
and death, sin itself became the stimulus for God's demonstration of His amazing
patience, grace, and profound love for us,
as it is written in John 3:16-2,
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that
the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not
condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has
not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and
men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For
everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light,
lest his deeds should be exposed.
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly
seen, that they have been done in God."
Who is this "begotten son" to
which the Holy Bible refers? His name is Jesus Christ.
God, in His
perfect knowledge and wisdom, provided
the right
way for salvation and this
right way
is through Jesus Christ,
as it is written in John 14: 6-7,
“Jesus told
him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No
one can come to the Father except through me. If
you had known who I am, then you would have known who my Father is. From
now on you know Him and have seen Him!"
The question that each of us has
to ask of ourselves is, "Am I like Cain who offers to God what I think I
should or am I going to do it His way?"
And finally, "what would be my response when
God asks of me,
"Why are you so angry? Why do you look so dejected? You will
be accepted if you respond in the right way."?"
